BIOGRAFÍA

Quentin L’helgoualc’h was born in Lyon, France. After studying Fine Arts (esba-Mo.co), he directed Between Empty things and Cristaux liquides, combining live action and 3D animation, where he developed a practice on the sensitive relationship with digital spaces. In 2017, he began a collaboration with directors Ekiem Barbier and Guilhem Causse for the short film Marlowe drive, which was screened in several venues such as the Brive Festival, the Fondation Cartier, fifib.

In 2021-2023, he joined the Fresnoy Studio national des arts contemporains, where he directed two short films, Les neiges électriques and Molecular Delusions. In 2023, he directed Knit’s Island, his first documentary feature film, after collaborating with the two aforementioned authors. The film won the Burning Lights Competition Prize & the International Critics’ Prize at Vision du réel.
