Icelandic documentarist. She has a BA in fine art from the Chelsea College of Arts in London and a master’s in documentary filmmaking from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. She won Nordisk Panorama’s Best Nordic Documentary award for her medium-length documentary debut Salóme (2014). Her first feature-length documentary The Last Autumn (2019) was premiered in the documentary competition at the Karlovy Vary IFF (the film later won a Special Jury Mention at Nordisk Panorama). She teaches documentary film history and documentary filmmaking at the University of Iceland, she organises film screenings in Reykjavik and she is currently shooting the documentary The Ground Beneath Our Feet.
