Majordocs has successfully closed its first local edition aimed especially at students, as part of its Majordocs Educa program. For three days, secondary school and audiovisual students attended the screening of three documentaries produced at Mallorca accompanied by their directors.
The films screened were Gaza by Carles Bover and Julio Pérez, winner of the Goya for Best Short Documentary, Samantha Hudson by Joan Porcel, and City of the Dead by Miguel Eek.
CESAG and CEF, where audiovisual communication and filmmaking degrees are taught, called their students and collaborated with the event by giving their space for the first and second day respectively. On the other hand, CineCiutat cinema hosted the third day attended by secondary school students from IES Son Rullan, CIDE and Mossèn Alcover.
This event is part of the pedagogical program Majordocs Educa. The goal of this is to stimulate the critical view of young people in the face of an increasing consumption of video content, as well as to spread documentary film in the classroom, a genre that is in vogue and that has immense pedagogical possibilities to explore, from the emotion, human, artistic, historical, social, ethical, scientific or current affairs.
