Everyday digital devices are no longer just tools; they have become gateways to a new multi-layered reality, an exponentially growing augmented universe that we experience largely without a physical connection. As human beings made of flesh, we now spend most of our time in a digital landscape, seeking happiness, wealth, relationships, knowledge, and experiences.
Balearic premiere. With the presence of the director.
In a world that’s increasingly connected, do we still know how to draw a line between reality and virtual reality? Adele Tulli explores the limits of what we call reality and questions our relationship with technology and the digital world, from the sex industry to the influencer’s world, and from queer communities to smart homes. With a sensitive and non-moralizing look, Real is a powerful cinematographic experience that makes us reflect on the complexity of hybrid worlds that we inhabit globally.
