How do you build a story when events unfold in real time? Four filmmakers will share their methods: open structures, flexible scripts, chance and editing. This session will address the balance between planification and improvisation, editing as a form of rewriting, and the relationship with the main characters. The debate will also include the use of narrative resources without betraying the footage.
