Majordocs starts today the submission period of documentary films for its official section, and that will remain open until January 17th. The selection will only consist of eight non-fiction films, both national and international.

Films in competition will be eligible for the Jury’s Award and the Audience Award, both with a cash prize of 1,500 euros. Moreover, the selected directors will be invited to present their documentary in Mallorca and enjoy the four days of the festival, from 1st to 4th April 2020.

Filmmakers can submit their films exclusively through the FilmFreeway platform, where all the festival rules can also be consulted. Participation requirements include that all films must be over 50 minutes in length and completed after January 1, 2018.

There are three different entry fees, depending on the date of submission. The fee will be $8 until December 7; $11 until December 27; and $16 until the end of the registration period. Any questions related to the interpretation of the regulations or the registering process will be attended by the festival team at info@majordocs.org.
