Why must you see it?

The conflict over an inheritance prompts the director to return to Burkina Faso at a time when the family fabric begins to implode due to tensions between opposing views of property. Upon her return, Aïcha Boro confronts the cultural conflicts that permeate her family and the country, but also grapples with the difficulty of coming back, changed, to a world that has itself changed during her absence. In the tension between different codes and lives, the film seeks a space to understand and renew the sense of belonging and identity.
