Editing and writing with filmmakers

Several of this year’s professional activities revolve around the editing as writing concept. In this Docsession, three editors share their experiences working with filmmakers from different generations, cultures and styles.

We look at the process of rewriting films, accompanying their creators at a key moment for a film’s final look. Active listening, psychology and knowledge of the profession  are essential for a successful outcome.

Renowned editors will share the challenges they face and methods they use in this process, at times alone and in silence, at others amid a throng of voices and opinions.
