WHAT’S THE PURPOSE OF A FESTIVAL?

Directors and programmers from festivals, including Thessaloniki IFF, DOK.fest München, DocsBarcelona, Frontdoc, One World Romania, Fipadoc, Escales documentaires, among others, will discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by non-fiction festivals. We will discuss their role in supporting filmmakers and their films, audience diversity, sustainability, and finance, as well as how festivals may evolve and collaborate to improve the opportunities for filmmakers, industry, and audiences.
