Why must you see it?
A powerful story that derives its primary expressive force from contrast. The raw nature of footage captured over five years on a mobile phone coexists with the delicacy of animations inspired by a young artist’s work. Soraya speaks out, placing her own perspective at the heart of a film defined by courage and the need to find a way out. Against the backdrop of her harsh experiences, her drawings and sculptures open up a space of beauty and freedom that amplifies—rather than softens—the impact of reality.
