SYNOPSIS
On a distant planet, a robot searches for signs of life. Light-years away, in one of the oldest mines in the world, beneath tons of mineral waste, an ecosystem between exploration and exploitation unfolds, a landscape between Andalusia and Mars.
Balearic premiere. With the presence of the director.
Why must you see it?
Navigating the space between documentary and science fiction, between Rio Tinto and Mars, and between microbiology and space travel, Maria Molina Peiró creates unexpected cinematic short circuits that prompt us to question our very existence. Como todo mortal is a film that embraces the experience of a mining community while simultaneously projecting us toward alternative ways of experiencing time—a dizzying cinematic journey exploring concepts of life and death in the depths of both the earth and space.
