“Listening to the World: Narration Through Sound”

Sound in documentary film is a narrative language that evokes emotions and reveals the invisible. Four filmmakers will discuss how they have built stories through atmospheres or soundscapes. This session will address the capturing of the essence of a place without an image, the use of field recordings and sonorous textures, and silence as an expressive resource full of meaning.
